Many people believe that this poem is about an eating disorder, but that is not my intention. It is about change, and how it has to happen to all of us. You sometimes have to discard those things that are holding you back from change like waste. I hope you enjoy...
In the emerald eye
I am what others perceive me to be.
This journey
Becomes my own.
Wherever I change
I find what is missing.
As I walk
Cut into parts
Traveling in opposite directions,
The mouth breathes in
To fill the lungs
With life.
We all have our reasons
For change.
I change
To keep me whole.
In the slick mirror
I am reflection
Of self and someone else.
This life
Becomes my challenge.
Whatever I see
I find growth, newness.
As I crawl
On dirty streets
My life in opposite directions
The stomach heaves forth
To fill the ground
With leftovers.
We all have our reasons
For change.
I change
To keep me whole.
This page will be dedicated to writing. Much of it will be my own, some of it will be from author's that inspire me. My philosophy is that anyone who can articulate their thoughts on paper is a writer, whether that makes you an author or not is another story. I hope you will enjoy, share and comment. ENJOY...

- I'm a Christian who loves Christ with all her heart. I love to laugh, I love to cry (sometimes), I love to feel deeply. I want the road bendy & the windows rolled down. I want all the wick & wax gone. I want to live with reckless abandon. I want to have deep, authentic intimacy with others. My hope and prayer is that I will effect & be effected. This journey is my own!
