Oh guys you will enjoy this...my beautiful amazing friend sent me this poem, she is soooo talented and gifted and I just couldn't resist but sharing it with all of you, I read this like 5 times...I hope that you enjoy it, and please let me know what you think so I can pass it onto her...It Is GREAT...
Children of God
The midsummer sun was overwhelmed
by the beauty and thickness of the trees
that covered the muddy water.
With a pailful of rocks born
of rainbows and the heads of arrows shot
by Indians long ago swinging
from my hand,
I walked with God through Eden.
We giggled as soft creation squished
through our bare toes.
The soft gentle music of the breeze inspired
the tree tops to dance.
The stream joined in perfect time gliding
gracefully around my ankles.
Daddy had brought us here on the spur
of a drunken moment.
And I was glad.
I had seen Eden with my own young eyes.
And there was proof! As Daddy called
for me to fish with him around
the wide streams bend, they appeared!
One by blessed one running, laughing down
the hillside to the water.
Their long beards and hair moving
to the wind music.
The children of God!
Just as He had created them to be, never
knowing the fruit sin.
But, Daddy, having filled
his belly with bushel after bushel, whisked
us away, shouting
about hippies and moral indecencies.
